Sarah Webb, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Housing, explained during an interview with the Times how she came to be in Housing..............

Whilst studying at the University of St Andrews she went on a tour of housing estates, courtesy of a Marxist geography teacher. “We spent a week going around grotty areas of Glasgow. There were estates with kids running round who didn’t have any shoes on and we were sitting in a bus writing notes. They started stoning the coach and I thought ‘too bloody right – that’s what I’d be doing as well’.”
